My photo blog

Dear readers,

I have planned to at least temporarily "close" this blog because I have found a better place to post my shots. To all my friends I have sent invitations to visit that place so that they can enjoy them even more in a place specifically built for photography. If any of you family or friends, haven't received the link, please send me a note and I'll send you the links.
If you want to comment on my shots, freely do it there. I'd love to see who comes to visit my site.

Best regards to ya'll!

St. Ives, Cornwall, UK - March 2, 2007

Here are some shots of a trip I took to a fishing town in the south-western point of the United Kingdom. The area is called Cornwall.
It's a totally different place compared to England itself. The people are different, even the food.
If you have the chance to visit this place, you should try something called the "Cornish Pasty". It's likelly you'll enjoy it. But be warned: It's steaming hot at first.

I think these shots portray the town of St. Ives and its area, giving an insight to its history, architecture and scenery.

Barcelona airport: Ready to board.

Paris, France - October 7, 2006

The city of Paris has all to do about art. Once you visit the city you'll get to know why. Art is everywhere -buildings, gardens, statues, light poles, etc.
I "only" had a day to visit it -well, some hours- and if you don't get into museums, you'll be surprised on what you can see by foot in that short time. Again, I say, walking. You can take a bus to see the city but you'll likely see little and remember nothing.
Here is my tribute to this wonderful city. All taken in the day light on an Autumn day.

Morning -First one in line at the gate.

I just got off the plane dreading it would be a wet day in Paris...

The bus that would take me an hour south to Paris. It appeared to be a wonderful sunny day down there.

Stockholm, Sweden - January 21 2006

I only stayed there for a day. In Stockholm I felt what cold was really about. Not just dry cold as a lot of Canadians feel it, but humid cold... up in those latitudes. I had to go into a coffee shop every now and then to get heated up with cups of hot delicious European coffee. Here are some shots I took while visiting this wonderful royal capital. I was very glad to have taken a tripod with me. You'll see why below.

The plane that would take me for the 3+ hours flight from Girona Airport (GRO) - Spain.

Boarding the plane from the back

Flying over the Alps.

Starting our approach into an ex-military air field: Nyköping Airport.

This bus would take me to the capital of Sweden. It was about an hour and a half trip from the airport. Nice to see that this bus was made in Spain!

Enjoying some wonderful scenery -snow included!

Transport never stops...

Enjoying this trip to the full already!

Stockholm city

Entry to the Old Quarter.

In Sweden the sun gets down at about 4 PM in winter. No joke. I experienced it! It was dark here but my camera can do "miracles"!

Light in the darkness.

Narrow streets between palace's offices. Originally this street was as dark as ink is. My camera's shutter was open for 30 seconds to get this image and others. Amazing, eh!

Front face of the Royal Palace. I saw the change of the guard!

The Royal Palace seen from the back -close to the river.

Learning some history.

Typical wintery scene in Stockholm streets.

This is the best shot I think I ever took to this date. The photo is in the original state I took it -in it's full glory. It's called "Stockholm's bike".

Trying some of the local food for supper.

Amsterdam - August 30 2005

This is a small collection of shots I took in Amsterdam between planes while traveling from Toronto to Barcelona. Amsterdam is one of the world's capital cities for bicycles. I hope you enjoy them!

Just off a seven hour flight from Toronto ready for a stroll in Amsterdam.

Me and my hand luggage in Amsterdam

Enjoying some regenerating food. Jet lag does not help visiting places...I was more asleep here than awake. That food helped quite a lot.

A three story bicycle parking. If you look well, you'll see it's packed...!

Channels and more channels...wonderful!

Tall and sleek architecture.

Returning to Schiphol Airport.

After takeoff, I had the chance to see a last glimpse of Amsterdam...in "Google map view"!

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! Travel and photography are powerful words that describe me. I have had the wonderful gift and blessing to travel from a young age. As I grew up, photography naturally came to be a complimentary hobby in my life. As time permits, I want to create this space so I can share my travels with you all. I hope you enjoy the visit!
